Lecture Culture - A mere fig leave of national interests? Saturday, April 17, 2010
Lecture by Kristina Tencic This presentation questions
the role of institutions in their support and production of culture. It
will reflect on the new opaque (self-) censorship of cultural players
in the realm of national states and their interests, and gives food for
thought about how artists challenge their position in relation to political
institutions. |

Live curating Boîte iranienne en valise Saturday, April 17, 2010 The "Boîte iranienne en valise" is
meant to use a suitcase. Inside the suitcase, several walls have been
erected that will function like the exhibition walls. Ten pieces will
be installed on these walls, the ten works being those that "won"
the questionnaire "so hot?! So Not?! (i.e. the works that received
the biggest amount of "balls" from the public... The installment
is intended to be a live event: Members of the i RAN HOME team will use
small reproductions of the winning pieces to discuss the best possible
placement, etc., and then glue them on the tiny walls inside the suitcase. So hot?! So not?!, Publication of the results of the
questionnaire
